Luke is a Company Director, and has 9 years’ experience in the engineering and construction industries within the Taranaki region. His background is predominantly in civil construction both as a contractor and a consultant.
Luke joined Red Jacket in 2018 and has a special interest in residential, commercial, and industrial developments.
Outside of work Luke is a keen rugby player and keeps fit by road cycling and mountain biking.
Grant is a Company Director, and has 15 plus years’ experience in design and drafting in various construction and engineering industries.
Grant joined Red Jacket in 2014 and has a keen interest in construction and building technology. He is very close to completing his CPEng qualification.
Grant is also a keen surfer and watersports enthusiast who relocated to the ‘Naki from the Bay of Plenty for the outdoor pursuits the Taranaki region offers.
Chris is a Company Director and has 15 years’ experience in the engineering industry within the Manawatu/Wanganui and Taranaki regions. He started his career with an engineering cadetship studying extramurally towards a Diploma in Engineering (Civil) and continued this professional development by completing a Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Civil) and an Engineering New Zealand Knowledge Assessment.
Chris lectures part time at WITT, helping the next generation of Engineers. The lecturing covers civil engineering design courses for both the Diploma of Engineering (Civil) and the Degree of Engineering Technology (Civil).
Chris is the man to go to for all things civil – soils, 3-waters, roading (geometrics and pavements) and traffic. His passion lies in roading design and pavements.
Chris having obtained his CPEng in 2019 is one of our two valued Chartered Professional Engineers.
When not in the office Chris is on the mountain bike, losing fish off the line, or exploring Taranaki with the pooch.
Nick is a Company Director, and first joined the Red Jacket team in 2014.
His experience in civil works, site inspections, bridges and soil testing is invaluable. He also has an interest in structural design and is also working towards becoming a Chartered Professional Engineer.
Service is one of Nick’s strong points and with him in charge of your project you can rest assured it will be given the best attention.
Outside of work Nick’s physiotherapy qualification from life before engineering, maintains his interest in staying fit and healthy. He and his wife stoically maintain they are ‘sticking to dogs’ as they are more obedient than kids. We’ll see.
Will joined the Red Jacket team in 2019. A Taranaki boy he spent four years studying in Christchurch, gaining summer internship experience working in the civil and roading industry.
Will enjoys a good mix of both civil and structural engineering and loves to get out on site whenever he can.
Will has spent some time working as a Structural Engineer in Taranaki’s oil and gas industry. He is working towards CPEng assessment in the future.
Mitchell joined the Red Jacket team at the start of 2020 just in time for the COVID19 lockdown. Despite this, his dedication and commitment quickly made him a valued member of the team. Born and bred in rural Taranaki, Mitchell is a recent Bachelor or Engineering Technology (Civil) graduate.
Mitchell’s specialty areas for engineering are the three waters, but he enjoys all aspects of Civil engineering. He also has a passion for Geotechnical engineering and likes nothing more than getting out in the field.
Outside of work Mitchell enjoys the great outdoors, either hunting or fishing, playing cricket, and small-bore rifle shooting. He enjoys spending time with family and friends in both Taranaki and Wellington.
Philip joined the Red Jacket team in 2017 and is our drafting technician with over 25 years’ experience in this area. His drafting knowledge covers most aspects of civil, structural and petrochemical industries.
Working with AUTOCAD & REVIT packages Philip provides clear concise drawings for our projects. His time is invaluable, and all projects, both big and small, benefit from Philip’s attention to detail.
Outside of the workplace Philip enjoys spending time with his wife and boys.
Christo first joined Red Jacket in 2015 and with a couple years overseas working in construction and volunteering, recently returned in July 2021 as a permanent staff member.
Christo has experience in a wide range of civil/structural engineering applications in the industrial, residential, and commercial sector. He enjoys working collaboratively on projects to produce the best possible result, with a key focus on clear communication.
Outside of work, Christo enjoys staying active with surfing, diving, fishing and basketball top of the list for activities. he also has a passion for languages with basics in Spanish, Italian, Fante and is part way through a Te Reo Maori degree.
Ant joined Red Jacket in early 2021 having made a complete career change from hospitality. He is currently completing his Bachelor of Engineering Technology.
Ant brings a fresh approach and enthusiasm for all civil works and site inspections.
Originally from India, Ant has lived in Taranaki for the past 16 years and is proud to call it home.
Outside of work he loves to enjoy all that the Taranaki region has to offer in the way of outdoor activities, surfing, biking, hiking and running.
Joby first joined at the end of 2020, working in the holidays while studying at University

Out of work Joby enjoys spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, diving and is a keen snowboarder.
James is Bachelor of Science (BSc) majoring in Geology and Professional Master of Engineering Geology (PMEG)
James joined the Red Jacket Team in May 2022, after having a break from working in the Geotechnical Industry as Engineering Geologist for 5 years in both Auckland and Christchurch.
Having studied in Christchurch and Dunedin James experience in many New Zealand regions encountering a diverse geotechnical considerations.
James has a great understanding of the Geotechnical risk of projects, starting the due diligence and design through to construction.
Outside of work James finds any excuse to get out for adventure , whether if be surfing, tramping or trail running.
Blair is the newest member to join the Red Jacket Team.
Blair comes from a building background and has worked for his own building company locally for the past 15 years.
Blair will be spending most of his time working along side our Senior Draughtsman Philip . He is also looking forward to getting out in the field with the rest of the team.
Out of work Blair spends time enjoying surfing, fishing, and snowboarding in the winter months.
